XTC - White Music

The spiky debut album from XTC from 1978 is full of spasmodic rhythms, scuffed guitars, stuttering bass lines and spontaneous blurts of crocheting keyboards. It was both inventive and energetic and along with Wire and Talking Heads the essential art punk albums to own.
